WOLFE COUNTY NEWS, DEC. 12, 1951	

ILLA SMITH, 49, LEECO RESIDENT BURIED MONDAY

Mrs. Illa Adams Smith, 49 years of age, was buried Monday afternoon, 
December 10 at the Smith Cemetery at Torrent.

Funeral was conducted at the Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Warner 
of Irvine, Ky, officiating.

Survivors are her husband, Clarence Smith; five daughters, Mrs. Macie 
Patrick and Marie Smith of Indianapolis, Ind; Mrs. Myrtle Spencer, 
Lexington; Marjorie Francis and Thelma both at home.  One sister, Mrs. C.E. 
Cable of Campton and five brothers, James and Porter both of 
Indianapolis, Ernest of Zachariah, Charlie and Earl of Orfino, Idaho.

Pallbearers included, James Cable, Bob Adams, Osa Brewer, Corbet 
Brewer, Deluth Adams and Zoe Choir.

Funeral was under the direction of Hearne Funeral Home.

Carl, the oldest son, was not able to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Smith, the departed, had memberships and fellowship with the 
Christian Church of thirty years.
