WOLFE COUNTY NEWS - Sept. 19, 1951

GEORGE SEWELL GOES TO REWARD

George Sewell, age 73 , died at the home of his son, Price Sewell in 
Georgetown, Ky on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1951 after a brief illness.

The body was removed to the Hearne Funeral Home, Campton.  Later being 
removed to the home of another son, Robert Sewell, Campton, where it 
lay in state until the funeral, which was held at the Rosedale Church on 
Friday, Sept. 14 at two p.m. with Rev. Shirl Davidson, Pastor of the 
Campton Baptist Church and Rev. John Dalton, officiating.  Burial was in 
the Sewell Cemetery by the Hearne Funeral Home.

The deceased is survived by two sons and two daughters, Robert, 
Campton, and Price of Georgetown, Mrs. Ethel Roark, Campton, and Mrs. Alsie 
Sewell, Dayton, Oh.  Also one brother and one sister: Will Sewell, 
Hollonville, Ky and Mrs. Nancy Pence, Bethany, KY.  Numerous other relatives 
and a host of friends remain also to mourn his loss.

George Sewell was born in Wolfe County in 1878 to McKinley and 
Elizabeth Sewell
