WOLFE COUNTY OCTOGENARIAN DIES AT HOME

Sophronia Leer Center, age 84, died Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 p.m. at her 
home on Callaboose Road near Campton.

She is survived by four sons, Boyd Center, Stanton; Floyd Center, 
Campton, John Henry Center, Pomeroyton, and Solomon Center, Fairborn, O.; 
seven daughters, Mrs. Nannie King, Mrs. Elsie Campbell, Mrs. Grace King, 
Mrs. Maggie Byrd, Mrs. Emma Byrd and Mrs. Ruth Brashears, all of 
Campton; and Mrs. Sadie Brewer, Rosslyn; 79 grandchildren and 120 great 
grandchildren.

Funeral was Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Center Cemetery near the 
home and burial was also there.  Rev. Orville Long officiated at the 
funeral.  B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
