FUNERAL RITES CONDUCTED FOR JOHN HORTON, 68

John Floyd Horton, age 68, South Lyons, Mich., died Tuesday, May 7th 
after a short illness.  The body was returned here Thursday.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zada Matlow Horton, South Lyons, and 
three sons, Billy and Eldon both of South Lyons, and Lieut. Colonel 
Russell E. Horton, London, England.  Also one brother, Buford Horton, and 
one sister, Mrs. Alpha Horton Galbreath, both of Campton.

A short funeral service was conducted by Rev. Sewell Woodward at the 
Hearne Funeral Home, Friday, May 10th at 1:00 p.m.  Burial was in Evans 
Cemetery in charge of Hearne.  There was also a funeral service 
conducted in South Lyons, Mich., prior to bringing the body here.  There was a 
delay of one day in burial due to the late arrival of Lieut. Colonel 
Russell E. Horton from London, England.
