Had she lived until her birthday next March 31, she would have been 78 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Taylor Day and Rowena Trimble Day and the last member of this family, which was one of the oldest pioneer families of this community. She was a twin to Lula Day Kash who preceded her in death several years ago. She and her twin sister were both united with the Christian Church at the tender age of 12 years and always walked with their Saviour as their personal guide there after. Lillie Day and Robert Joesph McLin of Rose Hill, VA were united in marriage at Hazel Green, on December 22, 1892. Her husband survives her in death. To this union were born 9 children, 8 of which are living and one Mary Roe McLin Howard, deceased. Four of the children live in Hazel Green; Miss Mildred McLin, who lived with her mother and took such loving care of her, Robert Bruce McLin, who lived next door to his mother all these years, Mrs. Christine McLin Howard, who is a teacher in the Hazel Green Public School, and Mrs. Kathleen McLin Tutt, who is a staff member at Hazel Green Academy. Mrs. Monnie McLin Kash the oldest daughhter, lives in Florida and was unable to be here for the funeral. Mrs. Daisy McLin Huber is a missionary to the Phillipines and she was not able to be here for her mother's funeral either. She and her husband, Allen Huber, will be home on their furlough in April. Mrs. Lillian Mclin Hufford, of Russellvlle, Ind., and Mrs. Irene McLin Keller of St. Louis, Mo., have both been at their mother's bedside since she has been so seriously ill. Mr. McLin leaves to mourn her loss, 22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.
