Wolfe County News, March 5, 1948

BETHANY WOMAN IS CLAIMED BY DEATH

Mrs. Roselyn Elkins Cundiff, 74 of Bethany, passed quietly away on 
Monday, March 1.  She had a stroke on Wednesday of last week and never 
regained conciousness.

She is survived by her second husband, Joe Cundiff, 4 daughters, Mrs. 
Golden Hollon of Lima, O., Mrs. Carrie Pence and Mrs. Emma Banks of 
Bethany, and Mrs. Joe Maloney of Peru, Ind.  Three sons, John Elkins of 
Bethany, Frank Elkins of Hamilton, O., and Bill Elkins of Campton.

There are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren to mourn her 
passing.  She aslo leaves two brothers, Wheeling and Steve Roberts both 
of Campton.

Funeral Services were conducted by the Missionaries of Bethany 
Orphange, Wednesday morning, March 3rd, at the home place.  Burial followed 
immediately afterwards in the family plot at Bethany.
