Sheriff R.L. Cruse of Clark County, reported. Lowell Lasher (Lesher) was killed when the car in which he was riding sideswiped a truck and crashed under the truck bed. Chapman Rose, 23, Campton, driver of the car, was hurt critically, and Elmer Rose, Wolfe county, about 27, suffered minor injuries. Chapman Rose suffered a multiple fracture of the jaw and an arm fracture. He was admitted to St. Joseph's hospital, Lexington, after being treated at Calrk County hospital Saturday night. Elmer Rose was treated and released from the Clark County Hospital for lacerations and bruises about the face. A fourth passenger in the automobile, Lawrence Campbell, Wolfe County, was uninjured as was the truck driver, Robert Daniel of Bowen, Powell County. The wreck occurred 12 miles east of Winchester in Clark County, near the Clark-Powell county line. The 1940 model coupe ws demolished and the truck was badly damaged. Clark county officers reported. Lasher is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geneda Lasher, and one daughter, both of Campton and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lasher of Gratis, Ohio.
