DEATH CLAIMS AGED PINE RIDGE WOMAN

Mrs. Christine Spencer, wife of the late Marshall Spencer, passed away 
December 16, at the home of her son, Mr. Roy Spencer, at Pine Ridge, 
Kentucky.  "Aunt Tina" as she was called by those who knew her, was born 
in Powell County March 9, 1879 and moved to Wolfe County while very 
young.  She was converted at an early age and joined the Missionary 
Baptist Church and remained loyal till her death.  Her last words were:  
There is nothing in my way."  She had been in poor health for several years 
but was practically bedfast the past two years.  

She is survived by two sons, Messrs, Roy and Lee Spencer of Pine Ridge, one daughter, Mrs. Clifford Lacy of Campton, nine grandchildren, a brother, Wiley Campbell of Campton; a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Spencer of Loveland, OH and a host of friends.  

Interment took place at the Spencer graveyard at Quillen Chapel and her funeral will be held at the annual memorial service there this fall.  Mr. Osa Spencer offered prayer at the grave but no other service was held because of bad weather.
