Halsey, age 80 of Middletown, died Friday November 9, 1945. He had been in failing health for some time and later suffered a stroke. Mr. Halsey had been a resident of Middletown for 39 years, and was a member of the Nazarene Church. Oct. 26, 1892 he was married to Miss Elza C. Wyatt; daughter of Noah B. and Nancy J. Wyatt of Wolfe County. Mr. Halsey is survived by one son, Kelly Halsey of Detroit, and ten daughters, Mrs. Asa Spencer of Middletown, Mrs. Leland Boorman of Dayton, Mrs. Robert Binnex of Middletown, Mrs. Pirl Whiser of Middletown, Mrs. Thomas DeHart of West Middletown, Mrs. Butler Profitt, of Louisburg, Mrs. Rufus Reynolds of Middletown, Mrs. Hen-Lillian Gaddis of San Carlos, California, and Mrs. Fred Hobbs of Lawrenceville, Ill. Funeral services were held Monday at the Nazarene church with Rev. C.A. Geeding officating. Burial was in the Woodside Cemetery.
