AGED RESIDENT OF MEADOW BRANCH DIED SEPTEMBER 24	

Mrs. Catherine Creech Alexander, age 83, died at her home on Meadow 
Branch at 2:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, following an illness of several months.

Mrs. Alexander was born in Wise County, Virginia, on Oct. 15, 1861.  
She moved to Kentucky with her parents when a child.

She was married to John Alexander on Oct. 5, 1882 and to this union 
three children were born.  Two of her daughters; Mrs. Lola Williams and 
Mrs. Dolly Bush, preceded her in death.

Survivors in addition to her husband and daughter, Mrs. Pryce Lykins, 
of Newport are three sisters, Mrs. Douglas Evans of Campton, Mrs. Alice 
Spencer of Cincinnati, OH and Mrs. Mollie Brinigar of Winchester.  A 
brother, Emory Creech of Stanton, 22 grandchildren and a host of other 
relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at the Evans cemetery Monday afternoon 
with Rev. Ramah Johnson of Pine Ridge officating.
