Wolfe County News,  Nov. 15, 1950

Mr. and Mrs. Flem Arnett of Rosefork have been notified by the 
Department of Defense that their son John was killed in action in Korea, 
September 22, 1950.  John was born October 9, 1927.  On February 2, 1946 he 
volunteered for the Navy and served until December 4, 1947 at which time 
he received an honorable discharge.  On February 27, 1950 he again 
volunteered his services and enlisted in the Army.

Surviving are his parents, three brothers, James who is a twin brother, 
and Leo, both at home and Harold of Washington, D.C. and two sisters, 
Anita Dam/Dain/Dain? of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Jewell Trent of 
Rosefork.
