ROBERT L. PATTON DIES AT STILLWATER

Mr. Robert L. Patton of Stillwater, one of Wolfe County's oldest 
citizens, passed away Thursday at his home at the age of 81 years, 10 months 
and 9 days.  He was the son of the late John and Easter Patton, early 
settlers of Wolfe County.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louvene 
Tomlin Patton; three daughters Mrs. Pearl Peck of Levi, Mrs. Mattie Hatton 
of Middletown and Mrs. Lu Taulbee of Hazel Green, four sons, Messrs. 
Grover and Frank Patton of Vortex; Robert Patton, Baptist; and Johnny 
Patton, Pontiac, Mich., two brothers, Mrs. Frank Patton of Campton and Mr. 
Jeff Patton of Vortex, five sisters, Mrs. Nancy Asbury, Campton; 
Mesdames Del Hollon?
and Bet Taulbee, both of Beattyville, Mrs. Mag Rose, of ______ and  
Miss
Laura Patton of Lexington.

Rev. John Dalton and Rev. Herbert Hollon conducted the funeral service 
at the home Friday afternoon.  Interment was in the Patton Cemetery at 
Stillwater.  The many relatives and friends of the family extend to 
them their deepest sympathy in their time of bereavement.
