She was born at Murphy Fork, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Jane Cecil. She was united in marriage to Edward R. Mayabb, February 21, 1900. To this union were born ten children, eight of whom survive. They are Orville Mayabb of Middletown, O., Jewel, Estill and Omer Mayabb and Mrs. Ora Lowe of Dayton, O., Mrs. Orene Hurt of Murphy Fork. Mrs. Gertrude Flinchum of Campton, and Elzie Mayabb of Lee City. She became a member of the Church of God some twenty-five years ago and lived a devoted Christian life, an example to all who knew her. At her fireside all found a warm welcome and bountiful table spread. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and children, seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Jo Ann Lewis of Blanchester, O., Mrs. Florence McKinney of Woodsbend, KY, Mrs. Sarah Perry of Ezel, and Mrs. Lou Alice Carpenter of Richards, Missouri, and one brother, Frazier Cecil of Mize, Ky. She has left us here alone but she is at rest on High with Him who said: "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Funeral services were conducted at Old Grassy Chruch at Mize, Saturday, April 10th, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Hobart Halsey, officiating. She was laid to rest in the Old Grassy cemetery there to await the resurrection call. Acitve pallbearers were Woodford Cecil, J.W. Cecil, Wilmer Cecil, Deward Mayabb, Hobart Mayabb and S. W. Pieratt.
