WOLFE COUNTY NEWS  Jan. 7, 1953

Raney Taulbee, 76, passed away at his home near Campton, Friday, 
January 2 at four a.m. after being in poor health for more than a year.

Funeral was held at the residence on Sunday at ten a.m. with Rev. Oney 
Banks, officiating.   Burial was in the Taulbee cemetery with Hearne 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Martha Harris Taulbee, two sons, 
Edgar, Clarkston, Mich., and Woodrow of Campton.  Five daughters, Mrs. Grace 
Rose, Bethany, Mrs. Flossie Rose, Bethaney and Mrs. Delilah Rose, 
Vortex, Mrs. Serilda Neely, Novi, Mich, and Mrs. Mattie Lovelace, Mary.  
Also 38 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.

One brother, Pryce Taulbee, Campton and a sister Mrs. Margaret Taulbee, 
Burkhart, Ky and four half brothers, Luther Taulbee, Mary, KY, Lee 
Taulbee, Middletown, Ohio, Jack Taulbee, Campton and Charley Taulbee, 
Dayton, Ohio.

The deceased was a member of the Church of Christ for many years and 
good Christian man and will be greatly missed in this community.
