DAVID LINDON SUNDAY AFTERNOON Services for Technical Sergeant David Lindon, who died in an airplane crash on the Isle of Man, April 23, 1945 while serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps, will be held Sunday afternnon at 1:30 at the Hazel Green Christian Church. Young Lindon had served with the armed forces for three years and three months, during World War II before meeting his tragic death. Prior to entering the service he attended the University of Kentucky and the University of Chicago. For his meritorious conduct as a soldier during the war he had been awarded the Air Medal with four clusters and two bronze stars. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Wendell Taylor, assisted by Mr. Henry A. Stovall. Interment will follow in the Hazel Green cemetery. His body will lie in state at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lindon of Gilmore, from today until time for the service.
