He was the son of the late Henry and Gay Asbury Lykins of Campton. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church where he died while attending the morning service. He is survived by his wife, Anna Whitaker Lykins and one son, Lowell Lykins of Salyersville, Three sisters, Corda Hollon of Clay City; Clara Beatty, Bethel and Alda Howard, Salyersville. Four brothers; Ollie Lykins, Salyersville; Dorsie Lykins, Bethel, Ohio, Darlie Lykins, North Kenova, Ohio; and Harvey Lykins, North Kenova, Ohio. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Burial was in the Bradley Cemetery near Salyersville.
