Caesar Hurst, 78, of Lexington, a retired business man, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospital fert a long illness. He was a native of Stillwater, Wolfe County, and a son of the late William L. and Isabella Duff Hurst. He attended Wolfe County schools and Waddy College, Shelby County. He was a dealer in lumber and coal and operator of a farm in Breathitt County for many years. He also practiced law in Wolfe County. He had lived in Lexington for 36 years, and was an organizer and past president of Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. June Hatton Hurst; an aunt, Mrs. Georgia Arnold, Claremore, Oklahoma; three nieces, Mrs. W. Guy Bush, Mrs. Robert Goodwin and Mrs. Rowlett Giles; and two nephews, Charles Sebastian and Jennings Amerine, all of Lexington. Services were conducted on Thursday at the Milward Mortuary chapel by the Rev. Wayne E. Todd.
