She was 77 years and five days old, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nickell of Daysboro. She was united in marriage to James Taulbee on Dec. 17, 1891. To this union were born 8 children, two died in infancy and six are now living, Martha Brewer, Trent: Authur Taulbee, Dayton, O., Golden Rice, Daysboro, Roland Taulbee, Toliver; Raymond Taulbee, Dayton, O.: and Ruth Morris, Dayton, O. She also had 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing, a brother, Henry H. Nickell, Daysboro; a large number of nieces and nephews and many friends. She had one brother, Alex Nickell, deceased, and a half brother, Ambrose Nickell and a sister, Allie Brewer, also deceased. She was a fateful foster mother to Grace Nickll Alexander of Lebanon, O., and John Taulbee of Blue Diamond. She became a member of the Church of Christ about 30 years ago and lived a devoted Christian life. She was one of the counties outstanding cooks and noted for her wonderful hospitality. She was always lending a helping hand in the time of sickness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Willie Taylor, at the Church of Christ, at Daysboro. The burial followed in the Nickell cemetery on Grassy. Flower girls were her granddaughters, Dorothy Strong, Clara Brewer, Merna Rice, Ivanelle Rice and Juanita Stamper.
