Wolfe County news - March 10, 1954

WOLFE NATIVE DIES IN ILLINOIS

A 94- year old Wolfe native died February 24 at his home in 
Lawrenceville, Illinois where he had been engaged in the mercantile business for 
the past 34 years.

Dead is Samuel Cecil Alexander, who was born at Campton, September 11, 
1859 and moved to Lawrenceville some 34 years ago.  He was a member of 
the Lawrenceville Methodist Church and his death came as a shock to 
relatives and friends.

Survived by his widow, Mrs. America Alexander the deceased also leaves 
the following close relatives three sons; W.F. Alexander of Lebanon, 
Ohio, J. P. and J.F. Alexander of Lawrenceville, Ill.  Seven 
grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment were at Lawrenceville.
