Wolfe County News - March 10, 1954

DAN PERDUE, 88 CLAIMED HERE

"Uncle" Dan Perdue passed away at his home in Campton on Thursday, 
February 25, after a lingering illness.  He was 88 years and ten months 
old.  He was married to Vina Madden who preceded him in death several 
years ago.

To this union were born ten children, four of whom preceded him in 
death.  Those living are: Matt Perdue, Clayton Purdue and Mrs. Gladys Sison 
all of Middletown, Ohio; Mrs. Ida Banks, Holly; Mrs. Oma Banks, Quillen 
Chapel and Newt Purdue, Campton, with whom the deceased made his home.

He also leaves several grandchildren.  He was a devoted Christian and 
was loved by all who knew him.  He will be sadly missed by his many 
friends.
