GERALD HALSEY SUCCUMBS 28th Gerald Elwood Halsey, 50 died at 11 a.m. Dec. 28 at the West Liberty Hospital following a long illness. A native of Morgan County, he was a Veteran of World War II and was wounded in action. He served in several military operations and was decorated for service. He had been confined to a wheel chair for the past few years as a result of a car-bus accident near Mize. His parents were the late ___ah Jeptha Halsey and Nancy Murphy Halsey. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alice Oldfield, Cincinnati, OH, six brothers, Judge Reed Halsey, West Liberty, Hobert Halsey, Mt. Sterling, Carl Halsey, Detroit, Mich., Eugene Halsey, Cincinati, and Roy and __ck Halsey, Mize. Services were conducted at --- a.m. Monday at the Ezel Presbyterian Church by Rev. Charles Vansant of Sandy Hook. Burial was in the Ezel Cemetery, Herald and Stewart Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
