WOLFE COUNTY NEWS  Nov. 3, 1954

OHIO MINISTER, WOLFE NATIVE, DIED SUNDAY

Rev. Howard McCallister, age 40, died in Middletown, Ohio on Sunday 
morning and will be buried in Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio, 
Thursday afternoon at two o'clock.  He was a Missionary Baptist preacher for 
twenty years or longer.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Rose McCallister, Middletown, 
Ohio and one son, John Ray, and two married daughters, Nellavine and 
Corine, all of Middletown, O., also two brothers, Ray and Joe McCallister, 
both of Middletown, and two sisters, Mrs. America Combs, of Springfield, 
O., and Mrs. Lonnie Hounshull, Beattyville, Rt. 2.  Numerous other 
relatives and a host of friends.  Being a former Wolfe Countian he is 
widely known and related here.  He had three grandchildren.
