DR. W.H. HOBBS DIED SEPT. 27 AT LEXINGTON

Dr. W.H. Hobbs was born on July 22, 1880 and died on Sept. 27, 1954 in 
a Lexington Hospital.

He was united in marriage to Myrtle Cable and to this union were born 
three sons, who survive him and one daughter.

The wife and daughter, both preceded him in death, many years ago.  He 
afterwards was united in marriage to Maggie Russell and to this union 
were born two daughters.

Dr. Hobbs practiced medicine for about 45 years, having doctored at 
Blue Diamond Coal Co., for 16 of those years.  He was retired in 1946.

He is survived by a third wife; three sons by his first wife; E.P. 
Hobbs, Hazel Green; Sherman Hobbs, Owensboro; and Finley Hobbs, 
Beattyville; also two daughters by a second marriage; Mrs. Lee Crutchfield, 
Hazard, and Mrs. Opal Robinson, Lexington.

Funeral was held at Maggard and Garnett Funeral Home, Hazard.  He was 
laid to rest beside his first wife in the Hobbs cemetery, Fincastle, Ky.
