LAURA SWANGO, ILL THREE YEARS, DIES IN WOLFE

Mrs. Laura Tutt Swango, born Sept. 12, 1864, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1954 
at the age of 89 years.  She made her home with her nephew, Darlie 
Fulks, for the past 12 years.  She had been seriously ill for the past 
three years.  She was a life long member of the Campton Methodist Church.

Though she only had one child, who died at an early age, she reared 
several children, besides her nephew, Darlie Fulks and his sister, Mrs. 
Verner Smith, nee Miss Blanche Fulks, of Hunting, WVa., Miss Callie Tutt, 
Cincinnati, O.; Mrs. H.H. Combs, Lexington; Mrs. Fred Hanks, Campton 
and S.M. Tutt, Hazard; all of whom survive her.  She is also survived by 
several other relatives and a host of friends, but she is the last 
member of her immediate family;  her last brother having died about six 
months ago.

The funeral was conducted at the Hearne Funeral Home, Campton, at 10:30 
a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Murrell officiating.  Burial was in the old town 
cemetery at Campton, under the direction of Hearne Funeral Home.
