Obituary: Lockard, Miranda (Elkins) - Monday, March 16, 2009 Published in The Middletown Journal on 3/17/2009 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** LOCKARD, Miranda 81, of Middletown, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Campton, Kentucky on November 1, 1927 to parents John and Clearnad (Banks) Elkins. Mrs. Lockard was a member of Towne Blvd. First Church of God, Prosser Chapter #367 O.E.S., Amaranth and the Red Cross. She is survived by her sons, Leon (Nola) Lockard, Leandy (Donna) Lockard, Theodore (Lori) Lockard and Ken (Redia) Lockard; daughters, Leeatta (Charlie) McGee, Lecreta (Danny) Klaber, Patty (Steve) Crouch and Brenda (Darrell) Reeves; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Rubin Elkins; sister, Betty Faulkner; and many nieces, nephews & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lockard in 1983; her parents; brothers, Frank Elkins, Cecil Elkins and Robert Lee Elkins; and sister, Ivory Craig. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 10:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
