Obituary: Hollon, Hardin - Tuesday, June 9, 2009 Published in the Dayton Daily News on 8/31/2009 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** HOLLON Hardin, 89, husband of Clara Daphene Williamson Hollon, died Tue, June 9, 2009 at Central Baptist Hospital. Born in Hollonsville, KY, he was the son of the late John and Charity Brewer Hollon. He was a retired auto mechanic and a member of Bryan Station Baptist Church. He was an avid Gospel and Bluegrass music lover. Survivors include a son, Arthur Lee (Judy) Hollon; three step-children, Freda W. (Lynn) Dix, Joseph (Vicki) Winer, and David Winer; ten grandchildren, Janet, Robin, Stephanie, and A.J. Hollon, Justin and Seth Dix, Joseph Winer, Penny Strait, and Brittany and Emily Winer; and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12:30pm Fri at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Pastor Al Gormley. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Justin Dix, Joseph Winer, Steve Hollon, Dean Underwood, Charlie Blankenship, Billy Dennis, and Chad Strait. Honorary pallbearers will be Penny Strait, Seth Dix, Brittany Winer, and Emily Winer. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thu at the funeral home. Note: This is not the original John & Charity Brewer Hollon. There are actually two couples named John Hollon and Charity Brewer.
