Obituary: Ledford, Irene (Risner) - Tuesday, November 3, 2009 Published in The Middletown Journal from 11/4/2009 - 11/5/2009 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** LEDFORD, Irene age 78, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 1:30 a.m. at Garden Manor Retirement Village where she had resided for nine months. She was born August 5, 1931 in Wolfe County, Kentucky and lived in Middletown since 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Church. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables and canning the vegetables out of her garden. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Nettie (Phipps) Risner; 3 brothers, James Emery Risner and Roy Risner and an infant brother L. C. Risner. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Beckham Ledford; four sons, Billy Joe Ledford of Middletown, Bobby James Ledford, wife Carla, of Middletown, Jeffrey B. Ledford of Trenton, and Jerome Ledford of Middletown; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four brothers, Charles Ed Risner, wife Margaret of Lexington, Kentucky, Bernard Risner, wife Polly of Warsaw, Kentucky, Glenn Risner, wife Linda of Warsaw, Kentucky, Vaughn Risner, wife Jean of Lexington, Kentucky; two sisters, Doris Jean Conner of Middletown and Ruth Ann Hall, husband Bob, of Springboro, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Jack Hooker officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio.
