Obituary: Tibbs, Betty (Brewer) - Wednesday, September, 10, 2008 Published in The Middletown Journal from 9/11/2008 - 9/12/2008 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** TIBBS, Betty age 68, of Somerville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Atrium Medical Center. Betty was born on November 14, 1939 in Campton, KY to Leebern H. and Viola A. (Manning) Brewer. Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother. She was strong in spirit, living life to the fullest every day, loving her family and the Lord. Betty was selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own. Betty was a member of the Towne Blvd. Church of God and a retired manager of the J.C. Penney Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years John B. "JB" Tibbs; children Charlotte (Joe) Webster, Marcus (Peggijo) Tibbs and Shannon (Dale) Geyer; grandchildren Whitney (Jared) Bradley, Emily & Madeline Tibbs and Alexander, Anna & Grayden Geyer; brothers Bobby F., Raleigh L., Jimmy L. (Marie), Denzel B. (Pauline) and Herbert C. (Shirley) Brewer; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her best friend Clarice Russell. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 12:00 noon until the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fairmound Cemetery.
