HOBBS DIED MONDAY, BURIAL IN LEE Belle P. Hobbs, wife of W.B. Hobbs, and daughter of John and Esther Patton, d. Jan. 31, 1955 at the home near Beattyville. A housewife, she was born in Wolfe County on Nov. 23, 1877 and was a member of the Church of God. The survivors include three sons, Joe and Charlie Hobbs, of Beattyville, and W.H. Hobbs of New Haven, ILL; one daughter, Mrs. Gypsie Profitt, Dayton, O.; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Taulbee, Congleton; Miss Laura Patton, Lexington; and Mrs. Maggie Rose, Kokomo, Ind.; one brother, Jeff Patton, Wolfe County. The funeral was held Feb. 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the home. The services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Hieronymus.
