Little died Aug 31, 2008. She was born April 20, 1913, in Wolfe County to the late Courtney Lawson and Martha Ely Lawson. Survivors include 4 children, R.M. (Mildred) Little, Montgomery, AL; Bernice (Ronald) Glidden, Williamsburg, VA; Courtney Eugene Little, Lexington, KY; and Seldon (Margie) Little, Nicholasville, KY; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Hazel Rose, Ann Hampton, and Mary Halsey, all of Ohio, a brother Courtney Lawson, Winchester, KY, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Evelyn Fannin, Nicholasville. She was a member of Nicholasville United Methodist Church since 1945. Mrs. Little was a retired school teacher having taught in six different Jessamine County schools during her professional career and was one of the first teachers to teach in a Jessamine County integrated school. During her pursuit of educational degrees she attended Morehead State University and Asbury College, receiving a Bachelor and Master of Art in education from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Jessamine County Teacher's Association, University of Kentucky Alumni Association, Business and Professional Women's Association, Spindletop Hall, a Donovan Scholar and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Services will be 11am Thu, Sept 4, at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Perry "Buddy" Teater, Charles Collins, Allen Collins, Bill Hayden, Pete Royse, and Rodney Brown. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wed, Sept 3, at the funeral home.
