He was born June 2, 1931 in Morgan County, Kentucky; son of the Late Joe Nickell & Myrtle (Nickell) Nickell. He was a member of the Hazel Green Christian Church in Hazel Green, Kentucky & was a Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Joe Nickell & Myrtle (Nickell) Nickell and a brother; H.H. (Bee) Nickell. Surviving is his Wife; Betty Cox Nickell of Hazel Green, KY; 1 Daugther; Pam & Doug Wilson of Hazel Green, KY; 1 Son; David & Brenda Nickell of Hazel Green, KY; 2 Brothers; Quentin Nickell of Nicholasville, KY & Rex Nickell of Hazel Green, KY; 2 Granddaughters; Carla Keeton & Sara Wilson both of Hazel Green, KY; 1 Step-Granddaughter; Kim Johnson; 1 Great-Granddaughter; Abby Jean-Marie Keeton and 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren; Colby Brewer & Zach Tyra. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home with Pastor David Fields officaiting. Interment will follow with burial in the Evans Crossing Cemetery in Campton, Kentucky. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by the Pieratt Lodge # 725 F&AM, Lee City,Ky Visitation will begin after 5:00 pm Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Hazel Green Christian Church in Hazel Green, KY.
