He was born August 29, 1921 in Wolfe County, KY, the son of Ben and Emma (Haddix) Patrick. He owned and operated Homers Garage in Beavercreek for 26 years and was a World War II Veteran serving with the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lola Frances Patrick; four children, Darrell Patrick of Dayton, Donovan (Janet) Patrick of Huber Heights, David (Susan) Patrick of Morehead, KY, and Emma Kay (Jerry) Patterson of Miamisburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Renee Johnson and Marie Johnson both of Kentucky; one brother, Everette Patrick. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Tootle; both parents; one sister, Hazel Johnson; three brothers, Herman, Arnold, and Franklin Patrick; two infant siblings, Imogene and Ernest. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to time of service with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
