Hedger age 87, formally of Springboro, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born January 23, 1921 in Helechawa, KY to Everett and Elsie (Dykes) Prater. She was a Pastry Baker for Otterbein Retirement Community for 24 ? years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lafe Hedger and Donald Byrnes; step-son, Robert Byrnes; grandson, Tony Hedger; great-great-grandson, Brayden Hedger Spencer. Elizabeth is survived by children, Margaret Beckett, Raymond Hedger both of Hillsboro, Mary (Jerry) Hedger of Williamsburg, Doris (Jasper) Oppy and Mildred (John) Dales both of Hillsboro; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends; brother, James (Carol) Prater of Liberty, IN; sisters, Virginia (James) Gilley of Franklin; Janet (Donald) Riegel of Germantown; step-sons, Donald Ray Byrnes, James Byrnes both of Franklin; aunts, Nella Thompson of TX and Eloise Whitt of Middletown. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randy Wallace officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
