She was born February 6, 1914 in High Falls, KY to William Alexander and Naomi (Proffitt) Drake. Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Naomi Drake; husband, Ralph E. Atkinson; son Barry Blakney; brothers, Kearney and Roger Drake, sister, Madge Tolliver. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Doris Irwin of Middletown; son, Charles T. Blakney of Indiana; grandchildren, Virginia (Mike) Ward, Bonnie (Ed) Hemker, Russell Irwin and Holly Anderson; 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great- great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice (Bill) Huffman of Ladylake, FL and Betty (Rev. William J. ) Cox of Tulsa, OK. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Woodside Cemetery with Rev. Roger Green officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
