Obituary: Sheffield, Jean (Tolson) - Saturday, November 15, 2008 Published in The Middletown Journal on 11/17/2008 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** SHEFFIELD, Jean age 78, of Middletown, passed away Saturday at the Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Stillwater, Kentucky, March 14, 1930, a daughter of John and Pearlie Tolson. She worked for Aeronca Manufacturing, retiring after 28 years. Jean loved gardening, Ohio State football, Kentucky basketball, and Middletown and Edgewood High School sports. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Henry Sheffield; 3 daughters, Benita (Fred) Melton, Regina Diane (Mike) Jones, and Bobbie (Ray) King; a son, Tim (Cheree) Sheffield; grandchildren Angie Buccalo, Heather Brock, Melissa Penny, Jon King, Mike King, Cody King, and Cris Sheffield; stepgrandchildren Angela Lawson, Amy Proffitt and Andrea Banks; 10 greatgrandchildren; 4 sisters, Genola Brewer, Velma (Paul) Kinzer, Wilda (Bill) Boggess and Marge (Dennis) McClanahan; and a brother, Willard (Ola Mae) Tolson. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Callie Salley, Hazel Tolson and Mae Haddix; 2 brothers, J.F. Tolson and Raymond Tolson; and by a greatgrandson, Anthony. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 20. The Rev. Roy Taylor will officiate.
