She was born January 29, 1919 in Campton, KY to Dewey and Bess (Dalton) Moore. Marie was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Deaton; daughter, Jacqueline Borders Burchwell; son, Robert Borders; grandson, William J. Burchwell, III; sister, Jean Rose and brothers, Jack and Raymond Moore. Marie is survived by her daughter, Paula Deaton Cross; sons, Jerry (Billie) Borders and Rev. Paul E. (Alice) Deaton, Jr.; grandchildren, Bekki Davidson (Mark) Chaney, Bridgett (Rick) Cole, Adam, Michael and Aubrey Cross, Brad (Carolynne) Borders, Betsy (Dave) Mangum, Lisa (Roger) Sorrell, Paul (Jenny) Deaton and Amy (Russell) Whaley; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca (Earl) Wampler, Freida ( Bob) Johnson; brothers, Jay Moore and Jim (Susan) Moore and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Paul E. Deaton, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
