Obituary: Rose, Dixie (Shockey) - Wednesday, April 9, 2008 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Mrs. Dixie Rose, age 84 of Hwy 1010 of Hazel Green, Kentucky; Wife of Cecil Rose; passed away Wednesday April 9, 2008 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born September 17, 1923 in Perry County, Kentucky; daughter of the late Elias Shockey & Minnie Manning Shockey. She was a retired school teacher for the Wolfe County Daycare and was a member of the Daysboro Church of Christ. A charter member of the Hazel Green Chapter #560 Order Of The Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by two sons Woodford Kash Rose and Rondal Shockey Rose and two brothers and three sisters. Surviving is her loving husband Cecil Rose of Hazel Green,Ky. Brother in law Wilfred & Marie Rose of Hazel Green,Ky and a host of nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday April 13, 2008 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Greg Chaney & Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating. Interment will follow with burial in the Hazel Green Cemetery in Hazel Green,Kentucky. Visitation will begin after 6:00 pm Saturday at Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Friends & Relatives.
