She was born July 7, 1930 in Lee County, Kentucky; daughter of the Late Jesse & Pink Creech Johnson. She was a member of The Church of Christ in Antioch, Kentucky. Thelma was preceded in death by her Parents; Jesse Johnson & Pink Creech Johnson, Husband; Shelvey Pelfrey, 1 Son; James David Pelfrey, 2 Brothers; Clarence "Sug" Creech & Velmer Buck Cable and 1 Sister; Lillie Mae White. Surviving is 1 Son; Hershel Richard & Marie Pelfrey of Campton, Kentucky, 1 Sister; Danna Jean Stone of Wellington, Kentucky, 5 Grandchildren; Dena & Frank House, Christopher David Pelfrey, Amy & John Norris, Richard Shelvy Pelfrey and Rachelle Marie & Shawn Hudson, 5 Great-Grandchildren; Elizabeth & John House, John & Jason Norris and Caitlin Renee Hudson. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Doug Dunn officiating. Interment will follow with Burial in the Cable-Pelfrey Cemetery in Campton, Kentucky. Visitation will begin after 6:00 PM Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, Kentucky.
