Obituary: Spencer, William Edward - Wednesday, April 9, 2008 Dayton Daily News on 4/10/2008 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** SPENCER, William Edward Age 72, of Springboro, OH; went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. William was born in Campton, KY on March 13, 1936 to Thomas and Sarah (Lacy) Spencer. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Middletown, volunteered Camp Chautauqua, and was a Kentucky Colonel. William was the owner and operator of Spencer Machine Shop for over 35 years. His parents and 2 sisters Freda Curtis and Eva Keith preceded him in death. William is survived by his wife of 53 years Evedna (Dalton) Spencer; 2 daughters Sharon Lynn Tinch and husband James R. of Springboro, Susan Louise Blair and husband Rick E. of Franklin; 5 grandchildren James R. Tinch II and wife Rachel, William Matthew Tinch, Ricky E. Blair II and wife Cassie, Daniel Christopher Blair, and Chelsea Marie Blair; 2 great grandchildren Mattelynn Elizabeth and Jozzelynn Joelle Tinch; 6 sisters Wanda Streitenberger, Glenna Hunter, Margaret Michael, Irene Feerer, Louise Leslie and Thelma Snelling. He was loved by many family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services are Saturday April 12, 2008 at 3pm at Grace Baptist Church 3023 N. Union Rd Middletown, OH with Rev Jerry Harmeyer and Pastor Roger Green officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-3pm at the church.
