Obituary: Oditt, Olive (Byrd) - Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Hamilton Journal-News on 6/20/2007 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** ODITT, Olive Olive Oditt, age 85, of Hamilton, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Birchwood Care Center. Born on September 1, 1921, in Wolfe County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Anne (Rose) Byrd. She graduated from Cannel City High School. On September 28, 1941, Olive married her husband of over 65 years, Earl Oditt who survives her. She is also survived by her daughter, Phillis Oditt of Hamilton; son, Jimmy and wife Barbara (Rogers) Oditt of Somerville; two wonderful granddaughters, Kimberly Carol Ragle and her husband Thomas of Trenton, and Sherri Lynn Senger and her husband David of Hamilton; the joys of her life great-grandchildren, Michelle and Michael Ragle and Jacob and Joshua Senger; twin brother, Ollie Byrd of Mason; three sisters, Vanita Centers of Lebanon and twins, Treva Vance of Harrison and Reva Rudd of Lebanon; two sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, many life long friends and two very special friends, Howard and Vella Stevens of Hillsboro, Ohio. Olive was also preceded in death by one sister. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, at 12noon on Saturday, June 23, 2007, with Rev. Keith Oditt and Pastor Michael Cornett officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Family and friends will be received prior to the service from 10-12noon.
