Obituary: Hollon, Elizabeth (Short) - Thursday, January 6, 2000 Middletown Journal Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Elizabeth Hollon Mrs. Elizabeth Hollon, 69, of Middletown, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She and was born in Campton, Ky., on June 5, 1930, and lived here for more than 40 years. Mrs. Hollon was a homemaker and a member of Middletown Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hargis Hollon in 1990; a son, Merida Hollon in September, 1999; her parents, Merida and Mary Short; a brother, Doyle Short; and two sisters, Ila Koontz and Cora Brewer. Survivors include two sons, Homer Lee Hollon and Bradley Hollon, both of Middletown; three daughters, Carol Sallustio of Ocala, Fla., Penny Lynn Smith of Conyers, Ga., and Connie Whitt of Middletown; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Short of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., Clay Short of Middletown and Vernon Short of Franklin; and a sister, Alma Earls of Middletown. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Cable officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Middletown, 4414 Lewis St., Middletown 45044.
