Obituary: Rose, Elbert - Tuesday, August 3, 1999 Middletown Journal Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** FRANKLIN-Elbert Rose, 82, of 128 Millard Drive, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Campton, Ky., on Oct. 21, 1916, the son of Jesse and Margaret (Combs) Rose. Mr. Rose was employed at Armco/AK Steel Co. for 35 years. He was a Marine Corps. veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 218 and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Middletown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lin Rose, and a sister, Opal Hunter. Survivors include his wife, Marie (Eisenmenger) Rose; two daughters, JoAnne McGill of Miamisburg and Sue Carol Russell of Middletown; a stepson, Bud Richmond of Big Sandy, Texas; a stepdaughter, Charlene M. Sparks of Centerville; a brother, Jack Rose of Kentucky; two sisters, Monzell Ramsey and Freda Kratzer, both of Maineville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and eight step grandchildren ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Eaton-Anderson Funeral Home, 121 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Rev. Sherill Sizemore officiating.
