Wolfe County News - March 1953

WILLIAM PERRY, ILL TEN DAYS DIES IN WOLFE

Pine Ridge, Ky- William Perry, age 103, died at his home at Pine Ridge, 
Ky on Wednesday March 4, 1953 at 11:30 a.m. after a ten-day illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Perry, Pine Ridge; three sons, 
Frank and Nick Perry, Pine Ridge and Jim of Lexingotn.  Two daughters, 
Mrs. Larlie Chenault, Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. Lucy Rebhole of 
Glendale, Ohio; forty three grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren, 
a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Friday, March 6 at 1:00 
p.m. with Rev. Lump Osborn of Campton and Rev. John F. Powell of Nada 
officiating.  Burial followed in the Gooden Cemetery at Pine Ridge.

Mr. Perry had lived in Wolfe county all his life and had been a citizen 
of Pine Ridge for about 35 years.

Uncle Bill as he known to everyone did his little chores about the home 
to the day he was taken ill.  He was loved by all who knew him and will 
be greatly missed.
