Looking
for my husband's ancestors. The earliest I know is Robert M. Lemons.
According to his death certificate, he was born in Kentucky and I have
been told that it was most likely Scott County. I believe that he had
one brother, at least, and his name was James. I have hit a brick wall
on this family and would appreciate any clues. Robert was born March
26, 1838. He moved to Jefferson County, Missouri and was married there
on August 6, 1867 to Margaret E. Bealer. Robert moved on to Colorado and
then returned to Missouri to Cabool, where he died on July 2,
1911.

I am
interested in the James Sterett family that was living in the Elkhorn Creek
area in 1799. I believe he is the father of my ancestor, Sarah W. Sterett,
born about 1785 and married May 26, 1803 in Scott County, Kentucky to Robert
M. Hogg. Sarah was listed as an orphan under the guardianship of Joseph
Sterrett. Was he her uncle or her brother? I think she had three brothers;
John, Joseph and James F. Sterret. Any information will be prized
dearly.

I am
searching for information on Alexis and Frances Yount Tipton. They
appeared on the census reports from 1850-1870. I have found they bought
and sold land in the 1880's. They were listed in the Stamping Ground area
and most land records are also from that area. Frances had brothers
and sisters, who married into the Blythe family. Any information would
be greatly appreciated.
