I am
looking for information about John Ireland, who came to the US from Ireland
in time to fight the British in the US Revolution. John moved to the
Scott County, Kentucky area sometime in the 1790's and I believe that he
is the father of Samuel Ireland of Henry County, Kentucky. I
have been unable to find a list of John's children, etc. Can someone
help.

In the
process of collating and entering data regarding the Gillispie family of
Scott County, Kentucky. I am working on all those who can trace their
ancestry to Lewellyn Valentin Gillispie and Mary Isabell Rice. The Gillispie
family traveled by covered wagon from Bracken County, Kentucky and settled
in northern Scott County in 1892. Anyone with connections to and
information regarding this family please contact me. I have a number of holes
that need filling. My husband is a grandson of Minnie Alice Gillispie.
I am especially interested in death and burial information on Lewellyn
Gillispie. Did he make the trip? I also need to know some information
about Elizabeth Neal, wife of John B. Gillispie. Also, how does the
John T. Gillispie, who died in 1906 fit into this family? Other families
related to this project include; Crupper, Parker, McCoy, Bates.
Thanks
