I am
looking for information on Lewis Walden and Sarah Mitchel, a married couple,
both born in Kentucky; but I am not sure what county. I found an Aaron
Walden and a Thomas Mitchell, both listed in the 1800 tax list of Scott County,
Kentucky. This Mitchell is spelled with 2 l's and Sarah's is only spelled
with 1 l.

for information on Matthew Craigmyle, born 1770, died 1842 and his wife,
Eliza Beatty; married March 21, 1796 in Scott County, Kentucky. I am
the fourth great grandson of Matthew and Eliza and am just starting my research.

I am
gathering information on Pevira Pew/Pugh, who married a Ophra Duncan in 1913.
They lived at Muddy Fork outside Georgetown, Kentucky. Pevira
died around 1945 and is buried at Georgetown. I would like to know
where he was before he came to Georgetown. He left Lee County, Virginia
and spent several years at ? before he came to Scott
County.

Looking
for information on any Hampton family that lived in the Scott County area.
The Andrew Hampton family was mentioned in the interview with Mrs.
Faulconer. Interested in Levingston "Henry" Livingston Hampton and
his son, Abijah B. Hampton. Levingston Hampton, born 1878 and Abijah
Hampton, born 1865, both later lived in Manchester, Clay County, Kentucky.
Both were said to be evangelist in the Pentecostal faith. Any
information will be greatly appreciated. Happy to share and exchange.
Will also share and exchange on the Fields family - Stephen Fields
and descendants. The records show both of these families in Scott County
at one time. Thank you.

Does
anyone know where I can obtain a copy of Scott County, Kentucky Marriage
Book A 1837-1860. I am trying to find a Sarah Lay or Green. She
may have been married first to a Green. She is in the 1850 census with
a son, Levi Lay (my gggrandfather and a son, Albert) Levi was later
known as Levi Green. At that time (1850) Sarah was married to George
Washington Lay. Was she married before? Or was Levi born out of wedlock
and Green was her maiden name. Any help would be
appreciated.

looking for information on Elizabeth Hammon, who married ? Morgan in Scott
County and lived to be 103 years of age. She almost lived as long as
her father, John Hammon. Does anyone have any information about her

searching for the parents of my gggrandfather, L. H. Sutfin (abt 1897), and
his brothers, Jacob Sutfin (abt 1809) and Jonathan Sutfin (abt 1812). The
three brothers first appear on tax and census documents in the 1830's in
Lawrence County, Arkansas; however, we believe their parents may have been
from Scott County, Kentucky. Any clues would be appreciated. I

of John Durham, sister to William Durham, married John R. Pates, born about
1807, South Carolina. Emily Pates, married a Jeter, about 1830's. John
R., David A., Emily Pates all children of Reuben Pates, born Virginia about
1775, lived to Edgefield County, South Carolina in early 1800's, to Scott
County, Kentucky by 1820. Need all information on these

County 1850 census list Margaret Hayes (widow), born about 1804 Pennsylvania
with children; all born Kentucky - John T., 1831; Sarah F., 1834; William
A., 1836; Lydia A., 1840; Adam L., 1844; Rachel H, 1847. Who was her
husband? All siblings moved to Polk County, Missouri 1859, including
William Sallee, who married Sarah F. 1854 in Grant County, Kentucky.
Possible dead husband was a Gregg/Gragg Hays, who married a Margaret
Wilson, 1830 Fayette County, Kentucky. Need
verification.

none listed in Scott County, Kentucky. Family oral history said Bertha
Stewart married Sydney Fountain in Williamstown, Kentucky. Probate
