I am seeking information on the Thompson family, who moved to Scott County in the 1700's from Louisa County, Virginia. Richard Thompson, born abt 1755 in Louisa County, Virginia died 1802, in Scott County, Kentucky.  Richard married Sarah Terry, April 23, 1786 in Louisa or Goochland County, Virginia.  They had the following children; (1) Joseph T. (2) Richard, Jr. (3) James (4) Steven (5) Elias (6) Rebecca (7) Katherine (8) Mariah (9) Nancy and (10) Samuel Gentry.  I don't know who, when or where Samuel married, but he had a son, Newton P. Thompson.  I don't know anything about Newton either except that he had a daughter, Sallie Thompson, who married William Buckley Blasingame, December 22, 1881 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.  Newton was on the 1900 census for Pendleton County living with his daughter Sallie and her husband, William Blasingame.  He was listed as being born April 1843, in Kentucky.  Any information concerning this family will be greatly appreciated.
