In
the 1850 Scott County, Kentucky census, Mary Finney is listed with son
George (later married Martha Donovan), and son James, J., and daughter-in-law
Mary Middleton Finnie. On the census she is preceded by her son, Richard
Finney, who married Annie Shipp. I would like to hear from any descendants
of this woman. I also would like to have any information about the
family I can get. I am willing to share what information I
have.

One
of my wife's ancestors was Elizabeth Jane Curry. She was born about
1800 and died in 1847 in Jackson County, Indiana. Elizabeth married
John Reading Tinder, April 13, 1820 in Scott County, Kentucky. I have that
he was born August 1, 1798 in Woodford County, Kentucky. Does anyone
know where she was born; names of her parents, siblings and
etc.

I'm
researching parents and siblings of John Barton, who was drafted into service
in the War of 1812 in Scott County, Kentucky. Also need parents and
siblings of Vance G. Callahan, who married Esther/Hester Smith in Madison
County, Kentucky on June 24, 1824. I'd like information on Esther/Hester
Smith's parents and siblings, as well.

Searching for
the parents of John Quincy Ryan, born March 24, 1814, thought to have been
in Scott, Bourbon and Bourbon County area. He married Freelove Whiteley,
on October 18, 1832 in Clark County, Ohio. The Whiteley's
and Ryan's both moved to Clark County, Ohio, where John Q. Ryan was married.
John and Freelove had ten children, all born in Ohio before moving to Missouri
about 1858. Children were: Milton, John Whiteley, Mary Jane, William,
Andrew, Katherine, Harvey, Wilson and Abner. I haven' a clue as to
John Q. Ryan's parents or siblings. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Seeking
parents of Benjamin N. Southworth, born 1799 in Ohio or Virginia. He
married Leanna__?, born about 1813 in Kentucky. They are in Lawrence
County, Arkansas, by 1840. Assume marriage took place in Kentucky after
1825; possibly in Scott or Owen counties based on other Southworth families
in these two counties. Help appreciated - will gladly share
holdings.

I am trying
to find the link between my ggggrandfather, John Lindsey and the other Lindsey's
in Scott County, Kentucky. John Lindsey was born in Kentucky about 1794.
His wife was Harriett. I believe he may have been a grandson
of Anthony Lindsey and Rachel Dorsey, but I cannot prove the connection.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Peter
Johnson, born about 1823 in Kentucky, married Nancy Sorrell, daughter of
John Sorrell, in Randolph County, Missouri in 1847. John was born in
Virginia; left Spotsylvania County and purchased land in Scott County, Kentucky
and then in 1840 moved to Randolph County, Missouri. I believe Peter
Johnson to be a Scott County, Kentucky native, who migrated to Randolph County,
Missouri with John Sorrell. Who were his parents and siblings?

I would
like to see if anyone has information about the Salem Methodist Church. In
a book I saw at the library, it listed my 6th ggrandfather, Obadiah Ellis,
as one of four brothers and that he was from Baltimore, Maryland. I
am seeking any information about him. Would be extremely grateful for
any information.

I am
looking for a link between Robert Cook and Archibald Cook of Orange County,
North Carolina, who migrated to Scott County, Kentucky by 1810 and Muhlenberg
County, by the 1830's. What I need is a link between Robert and George
of Georgetown and my direct ancestor Robert Newton Cook, an orphan of John
Cook. In Muhlenberg County Court settlements in the 1860's, George
was in charge of the settlement of John's estate. Robert and his sister,
Missouri, nicknamed "Pinkie" were then raised by Wyatt and Ann Wells Johnson.
Would appreciated any help finding these lost
links.

I am
researching the Lemons family, thought to be from Scott County, Kentucky.
Robert Mathais was born in Kentucky in 1838. His parents are
not known as yet. I have been led to believe that there is a Lemon's
will in Scott County, Book C, page 393-394. Is there anyway to find
these records online, or can they be ordered? If anyone is familiar
with this will, or this family, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks.
