McLEAN, McLAIN, McCLEAN, Daniel

Private in the Regt commanded by W __ avine of the Pennsylvania for the term of on year 1776
Subscribed on the roll of Kentucky at the rate of 8 dollars per month to commence on the 8 of September 1819
Certificate of Pension issued 9 of Feb 1820 and sent to Hon Richard M. Johnson, Senator US Kent

Nancy the wife, moved to Lawrence County, Indiana and made claim on Daniel, who died 6 June 1821.  Subscribed on roll of Indiana at the rate of
80 dollars on the 4th of March 1831 -

On the 2and day of October 1820 Daniel McClain aged 72 years appeared in Scott County Court.  He states he was in the Company commanded by
Alexander Parker in the 7th Pennsylvania Regiment commanded by William Irven and in the 6th regiment commanded by Capt. William Rippey.  
Pension certificate No 16461

Declaration by wife:
On the 2and day of December 1837, State of Indiana, County  of Lawrence, Nancy McLean aged 88 years states she is widow of Daniel McClean,
she was married to Daniel sometime in the month of August seventeen hundred and seventy in York County in the state of Pennsylvania and she
is unable to obtain record of her marriage.  And the 5 or her oldest children have departed this life and that Robert McClean her sixth child was born
in December seventeen hundred and eighty and that her husband the aforesaid Daniel McClean died on the 6th day of June eighteen hundred and
twenty one.

Ruth McClean was born September 6th, 1782
John McClean as born April 25 at eight o'clock in the morning 1786
Statement that the above was copied from the bible of Nancy McClean by J.J. Barnett and that he knew Nancy and  her husband, Daniel, of Scott
County, Kentucky
