KERR, David

Of Scott County, Kentucky, who was a private in the Company commanded by Capt. Marks in the Regt. commanded by Col. Buford in the VA Line for two
years from 1778.  Inscribed on the Pension Roll of Kentucky at the rate of $80 dollars per annum to commence on the 4th day of March 1831.
Certificate of Pension issued the 5 day of October 1832 and sent to Hon. R. J. Johnson, Georgetown, Ken

David Kerr appeared in court on 20th August 1832, aged 75 years

David Kerr was born February 18th 1757. While residing in Albemarle County, Virginia he volunteered in August 1776 and served upwards of three months as a
private in Col. Christy's Virginia Regiment against the Cherokee Indians.  About March 1778 he enlisted in Captain John Mark's Company, Col. William Davis'
Virginia Regmt and was at the battles of Mommouth, Stony Point, in some skirmishes and was discharged the last of February 1780.
He was allowed a pension on his application dated August 10, 1832, while a resident of Scott County, Kentucky
